Runway for a cause foundation was formally founded by Lara Akinsanya,MS who derives great joy in giving back to the community. As a mom herself, she uses her nonprofit platform to help stabilize and provide comfort to individuals and families with children experiencing hardship.
Lara is an immigrant from Nigeria- With a degree in biomedical chemistry, she works in the pharmaceutical industry. As a mother of twins, Lara knows firsthand the importance of having the necessary household and personal items to provide stability for children. Her passion for human dignity and life sciences led Lara to start the mobile pantry.
Growing up in a developing country, Lara experienced the challenges of poverty and lack of access to basic necessities. This inspired her to find solutions to help disadvantaged families in her local community. Lara’s vision is for no child to go without essentials.
With a love of both science and art, Lara brings a spirit of humanism, innovation and compassion to her work. By delivering items for free in a personalized, judgment-free way, Lara aims to empower those in need while restoring human connection and kindness.
As a mother, Lara understands the critical role a steady supply of basic items plays in helping children thrive and reach their full potential. It’s this deep understanding that motivates Lara and her team of volunteers to stabilize lives and create brighter futures through their mobile pantry nonprofit services.

THE RFCF TEAM
Marian Olayemi is a Nigerian mass communication graduate who founded a fashion brand designing beautiful, afrocentric clothing for women after finishing university. Growing up in a disadvantaged home fostered Marian's compassion for underprivileged people struggling to get by, especially children. Marian is deeply committed to seeing children thrive, feeling loved, and having their needs met.
This passion led Marian to volunteer with various foundations and organizations providing new clothing to women unable to afford it themselves. She has also reached out to hundreds of children to promote healthy self-esteem and self-worth.
Currently, Marian serves as a Program Manager for Runway for a Cause Foundation where she manages community outreach projects. She continues growing her own clothing brand on the side.

Mission
Runway for a Cause Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization (charity) with a mission to provide essential personal and household items free of charge to disadvantaged individuals and families in our community. Through our mobile pantry program, we aim to meet basic needs and restore dignity by delivering necessities directly to those unable to afford them. With compassion and respect, we will serve all recipients equally while protecting privacy, removing stigma, and fostering human connection. In partnership with local social service agencies and local retailers, our organization will continuously work to secure in-kind donations and funding so we can enhance lives by eliminating barriers created by poverty.
