The 2017 5th annual Runway Moms for a Cause fundraiser took place at The College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center on May 20, 2017 to benefit Safari Doctors ,a Kenyan nonprofit organization.  Hosted by Paul Wharton, a Lifestyle TV Host, the event started with a cocktail reception with a live performance by gospel singer Alache. The event ended with the the runway show of the “Power Moms” in  L~Shandi Designs and a collaborating online boutique - Sassy Jones Boutique.  Over 180 guests attended the event and together, we raised a total of $6,000 for Safari Doctors. Our Fundraising efforts will help Safari Doctors to continue with their mission to improve and strengthen quality, access, and delivery of health services and information for marginalized communities in addition to the village of Lamu, Kenya.  Photos from the 2017 Event are below.
