The 2014 Runway Moms for a Cause fundraiser took place at the Renaissance Washington, DC DuPont Circle Hotel on May 9, 2014 to benefitKidsave International ,501(c)(3) organization with a mission to create change so forgotten orphanage and foster kids grow up in families and connected to caring adults. Hosted by Lauren Rothman, Styleauteur and Author of Style Bible, twenty of the area’s philanthropic “Power Moms” graced the runway, adorned in one of- a- kind pieces by L~Shandi Designs coupled with jewelry designs by Carmen Eliam. The event started with a cocktail reception with a live piano performance , then a LIVE band performance by Stellar/Dove Award Nominated Gospo-Fella Recording Artist Tanya Dallas-Lewis opened the fashion show presentation by Elizabeth St. John Couture. The event ended with the the runway show of the “Power Moms” in L~Shandi Designs. Over 200 guests that are representative of DC’s elite, dignitaries, corporations and global media attended the event and together, we raised a total of $10,000 for Kidsave International. Our Fundraising efforts will help Kidsave International get closer to their goal to connect 1,000,000 orphans and foster youth to parents and mentors By 2020 so that the kids can experience love, hope and have an opportunity for a successful future.
